Welcome To
William Blake House
We are a registered charity, consisting of four small care homes serving the developmental needs of adults with learning disabilities.
Mission Statement
Our mission at William Blake House is to create 'a home from home' for people with learning disabilities in residential care. We provide each individual with person-centred support and development opportunities in an environment where everyone matters, all stakeholders are consulted, life-affirming activities are encouraged that closely mirror nature and the seasons, and therapies are offered by multi-disciplinary agencies and consultants in line with anthroposophical thinking.
Ethos
At William Blake House we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of care, based on the principles of anthroposophy - a spiritual philosophy founded by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th century.

What We Do
"A healthy social life is found only when, in the mirror of each soul, the whole community finds its reflection, and when, in the whole community, the virtue of each one is living."
Rudolf Steiner
